What This Means for Rural Areas

600 MHz Extended Range LTE signals travel twice as far from the tower and are four times better in buildings than mid-band LTE, providing increased coverage and capacity. What's this mean for you? Better signal in your home and office as well as the businesses you frequent, including Walmart.

Deployment of 600 MHz LTE also lays the foundation for nationwide 5G over the next couple of years. The software for the new towers are "5G" ready. This means 5G development has already started on the Hi-Line! We will talk more about 5G, and it's upcoming benefits in a future post.

Compatible Phones

Because 600 MHz LTE spectrum has not been a past game player in the wireless service market, not all phones will be compatible. Here is an updated list of phones that will work with our 600 MHz Extended Range LTE. Prices start around $140, so they won't break the bank. We expect a lot more phones over the next few months to be compatible with 600 MHz.
